Joanna came to yoga as an antidote to life at law school. After several years as a legal aid lawyer she trained as a teacher with YogaCampus and has been teaching since 2015.
She now teaches postnatal yoga, mindful movement and vinyasa flow classes alongside meditation and mental health awareness in workplaces and charities around London. Her teaching is inclusive, light-hearted and non-dogmatic, combining teaching from a variety of schools and lineages with the aim of developing a more easeful connection with our own bodies.
Joanna is particularly interested in the ways in which mindfulness practices can be adapted to real life: from a stressful office environment to the life a new parent. She has a Master’s degree in psychology and is currently studying to teach Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy with the Oxford Mindfulness Centre.
